Nowadays technology in learning is developed so fast. It can be indicated by development of learning media and resources. Technology that is recently used is digital media. It is a tool named computer that has a chipset working like human’s brain. It can save file, write the data, count the number, paint the picture, etc. It has storage with a certain capacity and memory. It can process the data fast and slow depend on the capacity and memory. Computer as learning media has so many functions to facilitate learning. It can change the teacher standing and explaining in front of the class. Student can directly interact with computer like as listen the teacher explanation. It can be utilize as some tools that drill, tutor and engage the student to practice some lessons. And also it can be some tools solving the question. It can be an effective tool as learning media. It can work without any time and space limit. Meanwhile the teacher work as facilitator in learning has any time and space limit.

A computer is utilized as learning media because of its characteristic making a learning run easier. First, computer is provisional or flexible. That means a student can revise the writing and it will concern to grammatical error automatically. Using computer, all students in the class can have same text style so the teacher can be easily to read rather than handwriting of student. Computer is not only for writing or counting tools but also multimedia tools. That means computer can act as tutoring tools. It provides videos, picture, and audio. But one of the weaknesses of computer is cannot giving feedback. But nowadays some people have already produced software to automatically give feedback.

Indonesian is well-known as the richest country of diversity. As the complex country, Indonesia has many various languages, ethnic, social strata, and religions. It has a slogan that is “Bhineka Tunggal Ika”. That’s mean although Indonesia contains diversity but it is still in one unity of nation. But in the fact, there are many conflicts happen through the diversity which is called by discrimination. One kind of discrimination in Indonesia occurs on religion point of view. Some people said that Islam is the right religion that we should believe. But other people view claim that Christian, Buddha or Hindu is the right one. Different religion has different perception. Some people said that their perception is different among other religion. For that reason, sometimes it seemed like there is a gap to interact with people believing on other religion even with their family. So this kind of case makes a change of social condition among Indonesian people. This change of social condition triggers the conflict through diversity of religion. Since the beginning till now, there are many conflicts occurred through different perception of each religion such as conflict in lampung, Timor timur, Rengasdenglok, poso, and so on. Sometimes it is caused by small case which is related to economy such as debt, snatching the territory, and other case that can more economically rather than politically. Then it is going to be big problem when the people bring religion’s perception to that case. It is seemed ironic. In that case, we should aware that we have a freedom to believe our religion, to life safely. Like as the constitution of Indonesia section 29 and verse 2 declares that nation assures a people’s freedom of believing religion and pray based on their belief.

Solving that case, Indonesia needs some multicultural movement. That movement is supposed to decrease tension of religion conflict occurring recent day. It can be implemented to establish multicultural education to our young generation so that their social life is not contaminated by conflict of religion. Obviously the teacher is the one who can be the heroes to solve this case because teacher can invest the multicultural value in positive point of view to the student.

Perceiving some cases above, I expect I can understands those kinds of diversity wisely and tolerance to other religion. Moreover I hope I can teach and invest right value to multiculturalism. So that’s why I write this article to increase my critical thinking on understanding those kinds of case wisely.

This posting is talking about my feeling on first PETA meeting. It is part of my subject telling about effectiveness in teaching. It is so important for me as teacher candidate. Learning this subject, I will get the lesson about how to teach and assess student as well. At first time, I think teaching is easy. But when I practice it, it is so difficult. I imagine that teaching is just explaining and giving assignment to the student. But in the fact, the teacher must do prepare so many things to face the student. First of all, the teacher must make lesson plan. The teacher must choose the effective teaching method and time management. Then he must prepare his mentality to teach.

Talking about my feeling on first PETA meeting, I really enjoy the class. I like the lecturer. She is miss Ine. She comes from NTT. She has unique accent to speak. But she did good interaction with us. She is friendly. She did clear explanation. She said that she got the first lecturing experience. But I think she did nice teaching with active learning. #a little bit praising and persuading to get A-score

But all this time, I like this course. In this course, I get many lessons about how to teach well and have an effective learning. I did more practice to teach. And also I will know how to assess student as well. Yeah, I think it was so great if I get the objective of this course and apply it in the real teaching. Actually I will have school experience. And I will get experience in real teaching. First of all, I must make a lesson plan and so on. I think it will be easy if I study seriously in this subject. Because this subject have already provided the explanation about those course.

But anyway how about the assignment? , Reflective paper? , Oh my God, that’s my daily snack. It must be eaten by me besides rice as staple food. Oh Sure, actually there are many other kind of snack completing a rice in my day such as lesson plan and so on. Arghh I’m afraid it will make my brain too much nutrition and getting obesity. #pessimist imagination

Well, sometimes I think I must be aware who I am. I am student. Of course I will do study, study, and study. Moreover I’m the candidate of teacher. So it will be bringing me on studying all along. Hmm it will be nice journey. For that reason, I expect I get the objective of all courses supporting me as teacher candidate.

But we will need a cost to buy a computer, usb modem, flashdisk, and so on. Therefore technology is just human made. It has its advantages and disadvantages. Perfection is just for god.
